The 44TH MID-STATES CRAFT EXHIBITION will be featured in the Old Gallery from January 17 – March 6, 2016. Open to artists residing in the six states of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Missouri, the competition will feature ceramics, glass, textiles, metalwork, wood and mixed media. Over $10,000 in purchase and merit awards underwritten by individuals, corporations, foundations, and philanthropic organizations will be presented at the January 23 awards reception.

Juror for this year’s competition is Julia Black Andrews, Executive Director of the Coral Springs Museum of Art (Florida). Andrews joined the Museum in 2013, as the Education and Public Programs Director and in 2015, she was named Director of the Museum. She was Curator and Program Manager for ArtServe in Ft. Lauderdale, a multi-purpose facility with artist studios, performance and meeting spaces and classrooms for nonprofit organizations. An artist as well as an arts administrator, Ms. Andrews is a member of the City of Pompano Beach Public Art Committee.
