This fall, the Museum presents a showcase of the official selections of the first-ever Evansville Museum International Drone Film Festival (EMIDFF). Film makers from around the world competed in our spring event and $2,500 in cash prizes were awarded. Our October reboot will provide an opportunity to view all of our past official selections on the dome of the Koch Immersive Theater. A one-hour screening of will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 2:30 – 3:30 PM.  Admission will be $5 for Museum Members and $7 for Not-Yet-Members.

A workshop for aspiring, local drone film makers conducted by EMIDFF winner Leslie Mundy and Director of Science Experiences Mitch Luman will take place at 1:00 PM. The cost for the workshop (which includes admission to the 2:30 screening) will be $10 per person.

On October 6, 2018 the Evansville Museum will screen the 2018 hist Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The movie will be shown in its Koch Immersive Theater and Planetarium in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibition, Dinosaur Discovery, which continues through October 28. Two show times of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be offered at 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM. Tickets are $12 per person and includes provided snacks. The movie is rated PG-13.

The Museum’s Dinosaur Discovery exhibition brings the Mesozoic era of geologic time to life with a display of robotic dinosaurs, fossil replicas, meteorites and activities for children. The exhibition is made possible by Old National Bank, Berry Global, The Elms, Premier Pediatrics & Wellness and Dr. Jennifer Liles.
