Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works.” – Carl Sagan, (1934-1996) American astronomer, astrophysicist, and author.

In 2017, the Museum will combine two of our long-standing annual events-Astronomy Day and Chemistry Day-into a one day celebration of all things science. On Saturday, April 29, Museum staff and volunteers from the Evansville Astronomical Society, the University of Southern Indiana and University of Evansville will present Sciencepalooza, an event designed to give visitors an opportunity to have a personal, hands-on science experience through observation and experimentation.

The event will include two family-friendly science lectures, chemistry demonstrations, storytelling activities, ten experiment stations where visitors will see science in action, solar observing through a telescope and a special movie presentation of A Total Solar Eclipse: An Introduction into a Journey of Totality in the Koch Immersive Theater.

General admission is $12 for Adults, $8 Youth. Museum Members free. Presented in partnership with Michelle and Phillip Eykamp.
