  • The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is located in the Historic District, just a short walk from Downtown Evansville, along the Ohio River in Sunset Park. For a map and directions, click here.

  • The permanent collection galleries and temporary exhibitions may be self-guided with interactive “Curiosity Cubes” and other hands-on activities designed for use by children and families available throughout the Museum.

    For groups of 10 people or more, Docent-guided tours may be requested for an additional fee. Requests can be made by contacting education@emuseum.org or by calling 812-425-2406, ext. 226. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance.

  • Photography must be conducted without disruption to Museum operations or limitation to the accessibility of exhibitions, entrances/exits, doorways, and high traffic areas.

    To help us preserve the outdoor sculptures do not climb, lean or sit on any artworks. Do not place props on the sculptures.

    Tripods, monopods (including selfie sticks), drones and other photographic equipment are not permitted in the galleries or Sculpture Garden.

    Flash photography is not allowed in galleries.

    Photography is permitted for private, noncommercial use only. Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.

    Unless otherwise noted, photography of temporary exhibition or borrowed works of art is not permitted.

  • The Evansville Museum is pleased to contribute two Museum general admission passes, two Koch Immersive Theater & Planetarium passes and/or a Patron Level Membership to eligible non-profit organizations for fundraising events. Please visit donation requests.

  • The Museum is committed to providing programming that is accessible to the widest possible audience. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our programs, facilities and website, and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Museum Reception Desk, and motorized wheelchairs are permitted. Our goal is to be as inclusive as possible.     Currently, the train exhibit in EMTRAC is not wheelchair accessible. If this is a concern any member(s) of your group, please contact the Museum before your visit.

  • Museum tours for school field trip groups may be scheduled for Tuesdays through Fridays. Tour hours on these days are 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Individual exceptions may be made upon request. Field trips may be scheduled up to a year in advance. The Museum requires tour reservations to be finalized at least two weeks in advance to allow the scheduling of tour Docents. We recommend making a field trip reservation approximately 2-3 months in advance.
